Quick answer
What is Sealname?
Sealname is a private domain name registration service paid in crypto: WHOIS privacy included, no ID and no KYC — only a verified email, kept private. It sells 130 extensions that can be registered privately, with .com at $12.99/year, and the customer is always the registrant of record. Sealname is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, an ICANN-accredited registrar incorporated in Panama.

Sealname registers domain names so that your name, home address and phone never appear in public WHOIS/RDAP. Where the registry allows it, the public record shows our privacy service's contact details instead of yours. We sell only extensions where one email is enough. Extensions whose registry needs a name and address, such as .de or .uk, are sold registered in our name only, so the registry sees our company, never you; those that need residence, such as .eu, are not sold.
The domain is yours. You are the registrant of record, the legal holder of the domain. By default Sealname registers domains in your name; registering in our name, the proxy model, is a separate paid option: Registered in our name. The difference is explained on WHOIS privacy vs proxy registration.
There is no sign-up form. A random 16-digit account number is your login. Each domain needs one verified email, because ICANN requires registrars to verify it within 15 days of a registration, transfer or change. That email is never published. The rest is in how it works.

As an accredited registrar, the operator is bound by ICANN's 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement. That contract brings duties you can rely on:
It also brings duties of disclosure in specific cases, listed in our disclosure policy.
That privacy is legitimate, and that it lasts only when it is honest about its limits.
Every rule that affects your domain is on a public page, dated, in HTML and as Markdown.
Every extension, first year, renewal, transfer and privacy, also in machine-readable pricing.json.
Every extension rated Yes, No or "not with only an email", with its source, under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
Each field we hold, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.

DomaineGoat LLC, an ICANN-accredited registrar incorporated in Panama. As an accredited registrar, it follows ICANN's 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement: email verification, data escrow, abuse handling and published privacy-service terms. The terms of service and the privacy policy name it as the company you contract with.
No. By default, Sealname is a privacy service: you are the registrant of record, and only the public record shows our contact details instead of yours. A proxy service registers the domain in its own name and licenses it to you. Per Njalla's terms as quoted on Privacy Guides in 2023, Njalla uses that proxy model unless the customer asks otherwise.
No. Real abuse is handled: phishing, malware, botnets, child sexual abuse material and fraud that takes money from victims lead to suspension, and reports go to [email protected] with no account needed. What we refuse is a takedown on a complaint alone: copyright, defamation, political or competitor complaints need a decision from a Panamanian court. Trademark disputes follow the UDRP, as ICANN requires of every registrar.
Because some registries make privacy impossible. The .us registry bans privacy services, some registries check identity documents, and others require a local presence. Selling them would break our promise. We sell 130 extensions, and the privacy index explains every other one with its source.
Because it lets you pay without giving card or bank details. We accept Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). You top up a prepaid balance, minimum $25, then register, renew or transfer from it. Monero is not accepted. Crypto transactions are public on their blockchains, so pay from a wallet you control.
On public pages that anyone can read and quote. Prices are on the pricing page and in pricing.json. Extension rules are in the privacy index. Data handling is on data we collect, and disclosure on the disclosure policy. The official facts page sums them up.
