Quick answer
Can I buy a private domain with Solana (SOL)?
Yes. Sealname, a private domain name registration service paid in crypto, accepts Solana (SOL) on the Solana network. Why pay for a domain with Solana?
Good for: Fast payments with very low network fees from a Solana wallet.
Solana (SOL) is the native coin of the Solana network, known for fast confirmation. Sealname credits your Solana payment to a prepaid balance. You then register, renew or transfer domains from that balance, with no card and no bank details.
Every extension has one price: the first year costs the same as each renewal. A .com costs $12.99/year, and WHOIS privacy is free wherever the registry allows it. The full grid is on the pricing page.
What should you watch when you pay with Solana?
SOL is accepted, not tokens on Solana: USDC or USDT sent on Solana are not credited.
Three rules apply to every Solana payment:
- Send the exact amount shown. Each top-up has its own exact amount. That is how your payment is matched to your account.
- Pay the network fee on top. The fee is paid in SOL by the sending wallet. It is not part of the amount credited.
- Wait for the confirmations. The Solana network must confirm the transaction. The number of confirmations required is 1.
If you send from an exchange, check whether it takes its withdrawal fee from the amount. The amount that arrives must match the amount shown on the payment page.
Which wallet can you use to pay with Solana?
Solana wallets (mobile, browser or hardware), or an exchange withdrawal on the Solana network.
The payment page shows a deposit address and an exact amount. Paste both into your wallet, check the network, and send. Paying needs nothing else: never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone. We never ask for your password, your account number or your domain transfer (EPP) codes by email or chat.
How private is a Solana payment?
Solana transactions are public. Pay from a wallet you control; Sealname never asks who owns it.
The payment and the domain record are two separate things. Where the registry allows a privacy service, your name, address and phone never appear in public WHOIS/RDAP. The record shows our privacy service's contact details instead of yours.
Sealname never asks for an ID document, a selfie, a phone number, a postal address or card details. Each domain needs one verified email, and that email is never published. Read what data we collect and how private registration works.
Sealname does not accept Monero (XMR). The Monero page explains what to use instead.
How do you pay for a domain with Solana?
The same five steps apply to every coin. For Solana, pick the Solana network on the payment page.
Top up $25 or more
Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
Send it to the address shown, on the exact network
The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”
Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how your payment is found and matched to your account automatically. Nothing else to send us.
Credited after the network confirmations
Your balance is credited once the network has confirmed the transaction. Usual times:
Crypto Network Confirmations Usual time BTC Bitcoin 2 ≈ 20 min USDT Tron (TRC-20) 20 ≈ 1 min USDT Ethereum (ERC-20) 12 ≈ 5 min USDC Ethereum (ERC-20) 12 ≈ 5 min ETH Ethereum 12 ≈ 5 min SOL Solana 1 ≈ 1 min LTC Litecoin 6 ≈ 15 min One balance for every domain
If you started from a domain search, the domain is registered in your name as soon as the top-up is credited, with WHOIS privacy switched on where the registry allows it. What is left stays on your balance for renewals, transfers and new domains. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable.
Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

One price per extension: the first year, each renewal and a transfer cost the same. Every price is paid from your balance.
Paying with Solana: FAQ
Can I buy a domain with Solana without KYC?
Yes. Sealname asks for no ID document, no selfie, no phone number and no postal address. You top up in Solana and register from your balance. Each domain needs one verified email, because ICANN requires registrars to verify the registrant's email within 15 days. That email is never published in WHOIS/RDAP.
How many confirmations does a Solana payment need?
The number required on the Solana network is 1. Your balance is credited once the transaction reaches it. The table in How do you pay shows the usual time for each network. If you started from a domain search, the domain is registered as soon as the top-up is credited.
Which network should I use to send SOL?
Send native SOL on the Solana network only. Pick the same network on the payment page and in your wallet or exchange before you send. Funds sent on another network or in another coin cannot be recovered. If you are unsure, send nothing and write to [email protected] first.
Who pays the Solana network fee?
You do. The network fee is paid in SOL by the sending wallet, on top of the amount shown on the payment page. It is not taken from your Sealname balance. Keep enough SOL in the wallet to cover the fee, so the transaction can go through.
Can I pay with Solana from an exchange account?
Yes, if the withdrawal goes to the address shown, on the Solana network, with the exact amount. Check whether the exchange takes its fee from the amount sent. Remember that the exchange knows the withdrawal is yours. A wallet you control keeps the payment more private.
What happens to the money left on my balance after a Solana top-up?
Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable. You can top up once and keep the rest for renewals, new domains and transfers. Each renewal costs the same as the first year, so the amount you need is easy to plan. Check the price list before you choose the amount.
Other cryptocurrencies Sealname accepts
Each page covers one coin: its network, its confirmations and the asset that pays the fee. The crypto payment hub compares them all.
